How do you leave out hits?
"Very excited to see Sugar - Band. Was disappointed. Have liked his music for years. However, he is an excellent musician and songwriter. He has arguably 5-6 songs regular people would recognize from the radio. How in the world do you not play 40% of your commercial successes? He spent the first hour and ten minutes playing deep cuts off early albums and new music. BUT, how do you spend the last 20 minutes playing 4 hits and leave 2 out?? I get it, he wants to sell new music. Didn't play Stay or Somebody's Baby!! HOW do you possibly leave those out? Flip the set list, do the hits for an hour then your new music. You can play the new stuff but you HAVE to play the old hits too! 50-65 year old people are there to hear your old stuff, not your new songs. C'Mon Man!!"
Larry was great!
I was really looking forward to the show this time around and I have seen Band - Sugar put on a show in the past and find him great. The show was at Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center and to be completly honest there acoustics in the building were HORRIBLE! Half of the time that Sugar - Band was speaking I could not make out what he was saying due to the poor acoustics. The one big complaint that I would have would be regarding the facility that the show was held at. I will not be purchasing any other tickets for future events if it is located at this facility. This rating has in no way been influenced by Sugar - Band himself it was strictly due to the poor acoustics of the facility. I felt my husband and I got robbed of the experience of the show.
Roger's finest hour.
"A must see!!!" - Sugar - Band brought his latest show, the 30th Anniversary of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" to the new Consol Energy Center on Sunday, September 26th. The musical anti-war narrative, is as relevant today as it was when first performed in1980, with accompaning visuals that range from the First World War to the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan. In the first set, a 40 foot high wall is erected, song by song, brick by brick, with a dazzling array of pyrotechnics, inflatable characters and stunning visual effects. The second half of the show concluded with a number of memorable Sugar - Band vocals and the visually impressive destruction of The Wall. This was of the most impressive rock productions I have ever seen.
Worst concert ever
The lighting was terrible but Faith Hill sounded amazing, and it seemed like she was the majority of the show. I think Sugar - Band might have done 4 songs without her. The crowd was into this show at all. They never came out for an encore, the lights were on for the last song and they just walked off waving. Most of the music was either new songs we hadn’t heard or had been changed up so much and ruined. Sugar - Band and Faith were both focused on only one side of the stage, so of course we looked at his back all night. This concert was the best I’ve been to, and I’ve been to hundreds.
